Rose Hill Golf Club

Bluffton, South Carolina | 18 holes | Par: 72 | 6961 yards

Rose Hill Golf Club is a classic Lowcountry course with trees draped with moss lining the fairways, shimmering lakes coming into play throughout, and an abundance of native wildlife.

The 18-hole Role Hill Golf Club course is enveloped in a peaceful setting of trees covered in Spanish moss and sparkling blue lakes. Designed to be player friendly, Rose Hill offers a round that is more accessible than many of the higher priced courses in the area. The golf course is a fair challenge with tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkering throughout. The layout starts out gently but on the back nine it progresses formidably with more doglegs, water hazards, and bunkers than on the front nine. Rose Hill G.C. also offers extensive practice facilities that include a driving range, putting green, and two practice holes that are over 350 yards in length.

Just got finished playing a round and had a fantastic time. From the time we got there to when we left, we were very impressed with the staff the pro shop, the bag drop guy, and then the course. The course is in great shape. The greens are very good but challenging. A very pretty course and a layout that dares you to take that shot you probably shouldn't., but that's the fun of it. I was told the clubhouse will be opening in just a few days. Might be the best value for the price in Hilton Head. Can't wait to come back.

Absolutely, one of the worst golfing experiences I have had.Greens. were. not maintained, Large vegetation, at least 1 inch high was. in patches on all the greens. Not a Smooth path to hole at all. No refreshments, no snack bar at the turn, no water on the course in their watercoolers. Mentioned condition of course to what I assume was pro in the clubhouse while we were looking for anything cold to drink (there.was none) His attitude was oh well, and blamed it the situation on a transition in course management.

Whether in transition or not, the course has some responsibility to the customer putting down resort level green fees to the quality of the experience. Grass in fairways, anywhere from 3-4 inches high. with large mounds of thatch left in the fairway. Teeboxes out of control. I told the proshop guy, I would not be back. I believe I should have a refund. I took video to back up my comments. .

I guess it was the nicest cow pasture I have ever seen. It was a bit tough putting in between the 2 inch tufts of grass on the green. Don’t worry I will not be returning to your course. I also think the 20 something in the clubhouse could be just a tad more friendly yikes tell I am sorry for interrupting her morning.

I took my 4 year old son out for his first trip to the golf course. When I arrived I was told that I was being partnered with some person I had never met. I refused because this was not only my day with my son, but I was not trying to get corona virus either. I was immediately threatened with police. I never once raised my voice or used any foul language. I eventually agreed to go ahead and play since they had us in different carts. The owner refused to let me play and said if I came back I would be arrested. This guy has a real bad attitude problem.

100% better today last year at this time. Staff very helpful. Greens still need a little work. Great value. Interesting layout

Played Rose Hill in 2018 and the course was very rough. Decided to give it a second chance in 2019 based the good reviews. We played and found it to be in good shape. A big difference in just one year and expect to see more upgrades in 2020.
    We will definitely go back!!!

I would easily give 4 stars to Rosé Hill. We played here four times in the last week of October. They were running. Special that included lunch. The staff was very friendly and accomadating. I am a beginner but my brother is a bit more experienced. I can speak for both of us that we will play here again!

I played here in July 2013. The greens are the worst that I have ever seen, especially the back nine. It was like putting on cracked asphalt. The rest of the course was decent.
